Raising Grandchildren
Supporting Children. Strengthening Grandfamilies.
When grandparents and other relatives step in to raise children, they provide something incredibly important—family connection, continuity, and stability. Our program provides a safe, supportive environment for children and youth ages 6–17 being raised by grandparents and other relative caregivers in North St. Louis County.

A Place Where Children Can Be Understood
Children living in grandfamilies may have experiences that are difficult to explain to friends or classmates. Our program creates opportunities for young people to connect with peers who share similar family experiences in a welcoming, supportive, and trauma-informed environment.
Through structured activities and supportive relationships, children build skills, confidence, and connections that can last.

Supporting the Grandparents Who Support Them
Grandparents and other relative caregivers are an essential part of children's progress. Caregiver education helps grandparents better understand how trauma, grief, family changes, and child development can influence a child's emotions and behavior.
Caregivers receive practical strategies, support, and resources to help create stable home environments and strengthen caregiver-child relationships. Families can also receive case management and resource navigation to address barriers that may affect a child's well-being or participation.
