Youth Advisory Board
Empowering the Next Generation to Serve Seniors and Adults with Disabilities
Youth Advisory Board Overview
The Youth Advisory Board at Circle of Care St. Louis is a leadership and service opportunity for motivated teens who are passionate about making a difference in their community. This program offers a platform for youth to serve older adults and individuals with disabilities while gaining hands-on experience in leadership, planning, and fundraising. Members learn valuable professional skills, build community connections, and contribute to meaningful projects that support the mission of Circle of Care. Participation also strengthens college and job applications, providing a real-world foundation in public service and nonprofit work.

Expectations and Involvement
Youth Advisory Board members are asked to commit between 2 and 4 hours each month, which includes attending monthly board meetings and participating in service or event-related activities. Members must attend a minimum of 8 of the 12 annual meetings. Responsibilities include collaborating with peers, helping to plan and deliver youth-led initiatives, and recruiting new board members. All applicants must complete a volunteer application and demonstrate strong communication skills, accountability, and a sincere interest in serving others. This is a unique opportunity for young leaders to use their voice, develop new skills, and make a lasting impact in the lives of those we serve.
